The Musical Abacus integrates the main concepts of Music Theory, relating them in a logical and orderly manner. It contains information related to Harmonics, Intervals, Chords, Arpeggios, Scales and Tonalities, both Major and minor. To use it is not necessary to know how to read music.
The abacus consists of two discs, one made of cardboard and the other made of plastic, which can rotate together. Both discs have a 12-sided polygon shape (dodecagon). This is due to the fact that there are 12 different musical notes and, therefore, 12 Major Tones, 12 Minor Tones, 12 Major Chords, 12 Minor Chords, etc.
In each of its 12 possible positions you have:
A Major Hue and its relative minor.
The corresponding Major Scale and its relative minor.
The Intervals from the Tonic of the Major Scale.
The 3 Main Chords of both Tonalities and their Arpeggios.
The Harmonics produced by the Tone of the Major Hue.
The Armor corresponding to both Tonalities.
