By Oscar Herrero:
It is not only a tribute, it is above all an emotional memory of my childhood, a nod of complicity and recognition to a man who was born a century ago, in 1912, with whom I always identified in his way of playing and making music, without ever forgetting that I am only a humble admirer who shares trade. Great musician who had to emigrate with little luggage but with a guitar full of talent, soul, magical sounds to show the world, and with the musical legacy of his homeland by flag.
In this work I include an unpublished work by Esteban de Sanlúcar, "Capricho Flamenco", which was never recorded, not even by the author himself. I must thank his student and friend Manolo Yglesias, who provided me with a copy that he himself could record to the teacher at home informally. He sent me the audio and also a transcript that I had made and on which I wrote my own version
